On-demand of Ironman comics fans here is an article describing Does Ironman Die in the comics. Read till the end and find out the reason for the hero’s death in various comic book storylines.

A lot of the characters in comic books, especially those about superheroes, die. It doesn’t matter if the character wants to fake their death to get what they want or if they want to die for real and come back in a different or the same form. This is something that happens a lot in Marvel Universe, and the idea of the “Multiverse” has only made it happen even more.

Why Ironman Dies in MCU

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically in Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark/Iron Man, the famous character who started it all, died to save the whole universe.

Even though Tony Stark could be rude and annoying at times, he showed his soft side many times in the Marvel Universe, and his death was always sad. But, as is typical for comic books, superheroes are hard to find. This made us wonder if Iron Man died in Marvel Comics.

All Existed Death Plots

We will write down all the deaths we know about, whether they were real and part of the story or fake deaths that Stark set up to get something done. Stay with us until the end if you’re interested.

1. “The Infinity Gauntlet”: Teraxxia Kills Iron Man

Since we’re talking about the MCU’s Endgame, I’ll mention that in 1991, Marvel published the comic Infinity Gauntlet.

Teraxxia was made by the Infinity Gauntlet, and Thanos made her equal to himself. This made Thanos even harder to beat. This comic was very bloody, but the MCU version of the story was much better. Several superheroes died in horrible ways, but Teraxxia’s was probably the bloodiest. She ripped Iron Man’s head off and killed Spider-Man with the rock.

Luckily, Silver Surfer and Adam Warlock saved the day by beating The Mad Titan, and his friend Nebula took advantage of the situation to undo the Snap. This series of comic books is a great choice.

2. Thanos Wins and Iron Man Is Torn to Pieces by Him

Tony Stark died again in the 2017 comic book story Thanos Wins, where Thanos… wins. He spends lifetimes killing everyone. This is an interesting story about King Thanos, who killed almost every living thing in the universe to please Death.

Now that he is old, he wants to stop. He drags the young Thanos from another universe to kill him and put him to rest. He’s dead, just like all the other heroes. The story of young Thanos, The Fallen One, and Rider is told in this part of the comic issue.

He is shown fighting Thanos for the last time with the other heroes of Earth, but Thanos kills everyone. As you can see from the comic panel above, Iron Man’s death is very gory, and it only shows that a universe where Thanos wins is not a good one. This is a great comic book story, and you should check it out.

3. Avengers:  Old Captain America Kills Superior Iron Man

This was a pretty interesting story that came out in 2015. It was basically the end of Jonathan Hickman’s Saga, which ends with the Incursion of all of Earth dying one by one.

As Tony Stark would do their best to save their worlds, it turned out that Iron Man knew all along that the aggression could not be stopped. But, he still convinced Captain America and other heroes to help him stop the threat. At the very least, Captain America was very angry, and he started beating Iron Man up. This was odd, considering that Iron Man had Superior Armor and Captain America was 90 years old.

All in all, after Tony’s secret, is revealed and all of his good deeds are thrown into the mud. The Avengers go back in time to get young Tony Stark to help them stop old Stark. But even when he is the bad guy, Iron Man saves the day and makes a heroic sacrifice. However, a sentient being made from Magneto and Charles Xavier’s minds, kills everyone, including Iron Man.

4. Tony Stark Fakes His Death in Iron Man: Armor Wars

This old comic book series started all the way back in 1968. Let’s talk about how Tony Stark faked his death to hide his identity. In this comic book story, Tony Stark makes a list of the organizations and people who have his secrets and weapons and then goes after them.

In this way, Stark, who is pretending to be Iron Man, becomes the enemy of the state and the most wanted superhero in the world. To fool the government and other powerful institutions that had put a target on his back. Iron Man tricked Firepower, the government’s agent in high-tech armor, and faked his death by putting bags of blood in his armor, which was then destroyed.

This plot is really interesting, and it even looks at Tony Stark’s mind, which has been changed a lot by the Armor Wars and everything that happened during them.

5. X-Men Vol. 2: Iron Man Dies at Onslaught’s Hands

As we’ve said before, the Onslaught is a sentient being made from Magneto’s and Charles Xavier’s minds. It is full of lust and vengeance and wants to kill everyone on Earth.

To kill the Sentient, the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four had to combine their powers, and in the end, some of them, including Iron Man, had to die to do it. This event started the Heroes Reborn storyline, in which the stories of the heroes who have died are restarted and put in a new reality.

Stark died a lot in the comics, which is not too surprising since he is the main character in Marvel Comics. We have no doubt that this will happen again and lead to another great Iron Man story.
