Who Is Ned in Spiderman Comics

 Ned Leeds worked for the Daily Bugle as a reporter. He was seeing Betty Brant, but he had to work abroad. When he got back to New York, he made Betty choose between him and Peter Parker, a celebrity photographer (Spider-Man).

Betty was dating Peter at the time, but she chose Ned instead because Peter kept too many secrets. For Peter, this meant that his Spider-Man persona had broken up another relationship.

The Hobgoblins

Ned dated Betty for a few years, and the two were great together. Ned even asked Betty to marry him in the end. She said yes, and soon after they got married. Ned seemed to have it all. He was married to Betty and got a raise at the Daily Bugle, where he worked. Ned would now spend more time in the office and less time on the streets as a reporter. Ned could not stay in the office for long, though, because he was still a reporter from the inside.

After Spider-Man and Hobgoblin fought one day, Ned followed the defeated Hobgoblin to his secret hideout. They found out that the Hobgoblin’s real name was Roderick Kingsley. Kingsley, on the other hand, caught Ned while he was in his secret base. He however did not kill him. Roderick Kingsley decided to hypnotize Ned so he could use him as a “double” for the Hobgoblin jobs he didn’t want to do himself.

Ned, who was pretending to be Hobgoblin, worked with Richard Fisk to find out more about Richard’s father, the Kingpin. This was done so that he could take down the Kingpin and become the biggest criminal in New York City. Kingsley’s hypnosis sessions with Ned, on the other hand, started to hurt Ned’s brain. It soon made him lose his mind. He got worse with his wife Betty, which made her run away into Flash Thompson’s arms. Ned, as the Hobgoblin, told the Kingpin everything he knew about Richard Fisk. He also told what he planned to do with his father after he lost his mind.

Death of Ned in MCU

Roderick Kingsley was angry, so he decided to kill Ned. He was able to convince the mob that Ned Leeds was the Hobgoblin. Jason Macendale, also known as Jack O’Lantern, wanted to get back at Hobgoblin, so he hired Foreigner services to kill Ned.

Ned Leeds was killed by agents working for Foreigner while he was on a job in Germany. At first, people thought that Ned had messed up because he was a reporter and dug in places he shouldn’t have. For years, everyone thought that Ned was the real Hobgoblin.

Years later, Ned found out that the evil man behind the mask and the one who had ruined his life was Roderick Kingsley. With the help of Spider-Man, Betty was able to clear Ned’s name, and Ned went back to being the good man and photographer he used to be.
